Jimmy N. Jones 7/7/73 Suicide, Gunshot

The body of a Ft. Richardson infantryman, Jimmy N. Jones, was found Friday at Lookout Point on the Arctic Valley Road on Ft. Richardson.  Jones was a member of Company B, First Battalion, 60th Infantry.

A doctor determined that Jones died from a gunshot wound, apparently self-in self-inflicted, a few minutes before being found by a civilian employee driving on the road from Arctic Valley Ski Bowl.

The death is under investigation by military police.
